Our Mission:
It is our mission to provide the finest in early childhood education, to prepare your child
for Kindergarten and to direct attention to moral values through a focused Christian
educational program.
Our Purpose:
Little Lambs Christian Preschool at High View Church of God is a Mission Outreach the
Lord has called and equipped our congregation to provide. We are happy to welcome
your family to our preschool program. We respect your beliefs and welcome children
from all religious backgrounds and denominations. Our daily activities include play,
stories, music, art experiences, Biblical lessons, reading and math readiness activities,
field trips, and class visitors.
We believe that each child is a unique gift from God to be cared for and encouraged to
reach his/her potential in all aspects of life. We believe that all adults can help children
grow and learn by being a model for children to mirror. Please remember that a child’s
first and most important teachers are their families. We are always open to your
suggestions and concerns. Please feel free to contact us at any time.
Visitation:
Interested people are always welcome to visit Little Lambs. You may tour our facility
and meet our staff by contacting our Preschool Director, Kerri Thompson, at
littlelambsks3@gmail.com or by calling her at (717)687-0523. Children are welcome to
visit our classrooms at the same time that you do. To arrange an evening visit, please
contact the Preschool Director.
Meet Our Staff:
Preschool Director and Teacher
Kerri Thompson
Kerri is the teacher of the 3 Year and Pre-K classes. Before coming to Little Lambs, she taught
for IU#13, the Warwick School District and was the Director/Teacher of Noah’s Rainbow
Preschool. Kerri was a stay-at-home mom and started working part time when her children
entered school all day. Kerri lives in Strasburg with her daughter Kylee, a Veterinary
Technician and her cat Romeo and dog Lilly. Her daughter Kelsey is a lawyer and lives in
Maryland with her husband Chetan. In her spare time Kerri likes to garden, walk, kayak, listen
to music and read. Kerri attends High View Church. Her favorite thing about Little Lambs is
sharing the love of Jesus with the children and planting the seeds that God will grow in His
perfect timing.
Meet the Playgroup Leader and Preschool Assistant
Jen Heiser
Jen is our Playgroup Leader and an assistant in our 3’s and Pre-K classes. She lives in
Lancaster with her husband Joe and their three children, Mackenzie, Ryan and Callan.
Before coming to Little Lambs, Jen was an assistant in various classrooms at Noah’s Rainbow
Preschool. She began working part-time when her son was in the two year old class at
Noah’s Rainbow. Jen enjoys spending time with her family and their two cats and one dog.
She enjoys music, reading, games and movies. Jen’s favorite thing about Little Lambs is
getting to know the families and working with such wonderful staff.
Meet the Assistants
Laurie Knutsen
Laurie is an assistant in our 3’s and Pre-K Classes. She lives in Strasburg with her husband Todd
and their daughter Faith. Her son Darin lives in Lancaster and her son Owen and his wife
Haley live in Strasburg. Laurie and her family attend the Worship Center. Laurie was a stay-
at-home mom and started working part time when her children entered school all day.
Before coming to Little Lambs, she worked as an assistant in the 2’s and Pre-K classes at
Noah’s Rainbow Preschool. In her spare time, Laurie likes to spend time with her family
playing games or watching movies. Her two favorite things about Little Lambs are getting to
know the children and working with the staff.
Denise Wilson
Denise is an assistant in our Pre-K class and is a member of High View Church. She
lives in Lancaster with her cat, Jet. In addition to volunteering at Little Lambs, Denise
volunteers at Operation Scarlet Chinese Shar-pei Rescue in Lancaster. She is an avid golfer
and pickleball player. Denise enjoys interacting with the children at Little Lambs and seeing
them learn and grow in confidence.
Emily Reber
Emily is the Playgroup assistant. She lives in Lancaster County with her husband Jonny and
daughter Mira. She’s worked as a cosmetologist since 2018 but loves being a stay-at-home
mom. Emily loves any outside adventures and traveling to new places. She loves animals
and enjoys taking care of her bunny and chickens. Emily’s favorite thing about Little Lambs is
getting to share Jesus’ love with others.
